CHRONICLES OF 2012

to some they said the world would end, to some they were ready to cast their votes comes this August ooops, December,,, oh never mind..
to some it was the thrill of getting a new leader, to some it was the interest for the Implementation of the new constitution, oh my that also has not been done to perfection,
to some it was the hope of raised security for their kids and family, a hope of a gun free area, where machetes, pangas would be used to kill other thing not humans,
to some it was the hope that there would be a policy that would deliver their drought ridden areas,
to some it was the hope that they would get employed since they are sub and fully skilled in labor, atleast that would have elevated their living standards to the fullest,
to some it was the desire to serve and protect their country and it citizens that led them to their date, for some it was their love for their nation that drove them out of their country to a foreign land,
for some its the understanding that there maybe a better tomorrow, with no grenades being thrown at them, to some its the healing that they longed for after  loosing their loved ones at their place of worship,
to some it was the desire to be settled after a brutal transition of being a refugee in their country,
to some it was the desire to have the cost of living being lowered, some understanding from the governors they entrusted the power to, yes it was ...... 2012

#Free Election Movement#

If the intelligence of the Kenyan society is going to remain neutral in this time of moral crisis concerning the elections, we will in part regret having ever promulgated the constitution.when a conglomeration of criminals are lined up and bribing their way infiltrating the ignorant masses, the supposed lights of today have been darkened by sycophancy.
We know the work of a president in regard to international obligation, we know the work of the Governor in regard to management and not hooliganism and we know the roles of a senator in regard to the functions of legislation on important issues. We must understand that we need to solve the puzzle of crimes against humanity committed against (innocent) members  of the human race, we know Nairobi and other counties need to be run like cities not ghettos, we know the country has to try as much as possible through legislation and other measures to fight against creating a drug-ridden society.
We know, we have the hope and we shall ensure people are informed. We rise above ethnicity, we rise above politics 101 to politics with morality;the fabric that holds together any society, we rise above financial interests with the hope of a nation that will comfortably house our sons and daughters long after we are gone.
We stand to be counted as having stood for the truth. We, those who have chosen to think and talk the way we feel, in light of the difficulties we may encounter join the souls of MAUMAU soldiers that fell by the ruthless rifles of the white, we join all those who fought one-party system, those who fell by the hands of antagonists for rising their voice that the voices of the lumpen-proletariat may be heard, we hereby, join our spirits, minds and souls in the movement of justice. There for we must be free from neo-colonization, oppression, exploitation, indoctrination and manipulation for the sake of our nation and the present and next generation.....
A Constitution is not the act of a Government, but of a people constituting a government, and a government without a constitution is a power without right....-Thomas Paine - "Rights of Man" (1791)

The Campaign Trail : Ruto Edition

* 2002: Ruto threw his full weight behind Uhuru …..Uhuru lost to Kibaki. * 2005: Ruto threw his full weight behind Orange to reject the Banana/Orange Referendum. Orange won and shortly after, Kibaki fired all the Orange Ministers. * 2007: Ruto threw his full weight behind ODM/Raila. ODM won 6 out of the 8 provinces... Raila is not president and everybdoy was left with their mouths open…….how now? 6 out of 8 provinces and the one who had 2 out of 8 provinces is made the president at night???? * 2010: Ruto spearheaded the NO campaign against the Referendum with the backing of the CHURCH…. The RED team was humiliated and embarrassed. As for this election I don't know if his camp will take the day...

For the Tana Mayhem and those motivated to cause one ....

So the groupings are on, the machetes are highly held, guns are blazing, grenades bursting.. yes we are back, bigger and better, we are here to make the worst out of our already piteous situation... we are back to do what we do best: kill one another, loot from one another, and help maintain impunity and tribal leadership.. we are back to the war within.. We are back at the war field, back at the fore front, back to the villages, armed and thirsty for blood, ready for war, ready to roll...We have a mission to accomplish, a duty to uphold, a routine to keep going, a history to bring back... that is how we live, that's how wise we are that's how motivated we feel towards this cause... Yet we do not notice we are on the loosing end, we do not notice we are the ones to fail, history has not taught us well it seems, 1992, 1997, 2002, 2007.... yes we have not learned yet! Our stupidity is one to be admired, scientists should spare some time and study it, and consequently come with a result for it, for if we are not cured we are headed to dark days, worse than the recent 2007... worse than the Rwanda genocide, my brothers and sisters worse... just because of our: stupidity, ignorance, jealousy, division, and again I say it: Stupidity....

IN THE NAME OF 'NON PROFIT'

This is for those individuals that feel motivated enough to work for the good cause, for those who feel enlightened enough to question the vices, for those who feel convinced enough that the current status is wanting, for those whose conscience cannot allow them to support regimes that do not work for the well being of all.. this is for the great teachers, the en lighteners, the protectors of democracy, this is the for the civil society. They started of fighting for the introduction of multiparty, they were united towards a common cause, they were focused on freeing people from what they saw as: dictatorship. They went spoke in one voice, acted together and achieved a lot. Together with other stakeholders they brought us multipartism, saved our forests and kept a vigilant eye on the leadership. They later evolved and discovered more vices to fight against, they also discovered cash cows from the developed countries. Them being from a 'developing country', they had the mercy of intergovernmental organizations at their mercy, and the love of money evolved. The fight for this vices was not their first priority, money was. They stopped speaking in one voice as each were busy running after financiers. They were running after their share of financial welfare. No wonder situation is getting worse for the Common citizen, the citizen that these individuals said they wanted to help, no wonder we cant get out of this. The saviors have shifted camps and they are the afflicts, the good deeds have turned to money deeds. For them to act, there is a financial price to pay...

MEDITATIONS OF: ' OUR MADARAKA'

They are moving towards trubbling times, the waves seem to be becoming more bigger and the tides more stronger. it seems like the days are becoming shorter and the nights longer. They seem to have lost the will to go on the right direction. They have a country that is over 4 decades old in terms of self rule, but the citizens lack a sense on direction and this i bet is making the freedom fighters turn in their graves, taunted by the faulty behavior of these heirs of the beloved country.

If they re-visited the reasons why the fore fathers fought for independence then they would realise why tribal lines are a threat to democracy, that bad leadership was not what their fore fathers envisioned.. they would realise why 2007/2008 PEV made the fore fathersweep in their graves..

As they meditate on the above thoughts, they would work hard to prevent that from happenning again, they would unite as kenyans, they would- as The National Anthem say: let "Justice be our shield and defender".."dwell in Peace and Liberty"....

THE RESOLVE

Are we too obsessed with cannibalizing ourselves, or are we ignorant of our stupidity, are we too caught up with the stresses of getting a daily bread or are we just lazy and just prefers not to be responsible.....

Are we good at forgetting, or do we love taking the easy way out and forget things, events and wrongs... are we so content and comfortable with our current state that we don't want to change stuff, or are we just fed up and victims of giving up on change....

Are we part of the trampled on community, the weak, the sat on.... Are we part of the disorganized, mixed up,sad at heart and mind....

Are we going to change, are we going to redefine the rules of the game, are we going to choose the players of the game based on the competence, are we going to change or are going to spectate... Are we going to spectate, or are we going to be part of the change...

THE DISGUISE

he is pointing fingers at the alleged, he is shouting at the top of his lungs crucify the suspects, he continues to say that jail is where they belong, he is painting their names dirty, he is passing a verdict yet he is not the judge, he is gloating at their misery, oblivious of his.....

I believe i saw them working together, i thought i saw them fighting on one side , i think i saw them plotting for a win together, dinning together , thinking alike, screaming from the same arena, in the same camp saying...' NO winning, NO peace'...

so how did they become enemies, how did  dirt and clean mix, how did evil and god think alike, how comes the colleague is calling the other a wolf and paints himself as a a saint... they were in the same arguing point, now he has fled in time of trouble, now they are enemies due to arising disputes, now he is using the colleagues failure to feed his big appetite for individual ambitions, his love for power.... now he says that they should go to jail, he says they should not pray yet he is proclaims himself as a staunch christian... so who is fooling who...

but we are watching, Wanjiku is listening, Kenyans will act...

AFTER THOUGHT

legacy have been left behind, great work have been fulfilled, whatever they set to do they did, and whethere you liked it or not they lived their dreams, implemented their thoughts, made a name out of their simple lives....

we all have the same potential, we are all given the same amount of time, we are all brought into this world the same way and nature works to provide us with the same level of assets in life... and when we leave nature makes a statement by ensuring that we are all equal when departing from this world, as we carry nothing with us... the only thing we can carry is the  level of impact that yhou give the worl, and hence the name you leave...

it does not matter how big of a name you left, what matters is that you left a name, you impacted, you left a mark... be it you rise from a charcoal bunners position to a cabinet minister..or be it you w ere able to bring sanity in a seemingly dis organied transport sector make sure you leave your world 'marked''

THE COMPLEX

It seems we have empowered the less powerful, we have informed the less informed, we made way and directed those that were lost, we gave a voice to the voiceless, we gave a podium to the marginalized. .. It all started when research showed that there was a group that had been suppressed, a group that seemed to face the unfair wrath of the human race...

So the upholders of justice went ahead and pushed for it, the crusaders of balance called for balance, the lovers of empowerment called for power to be given to the marginalized... Placards filled our streets, the news filled our houses, the Civil society had found a new Agenda to push and make a financial kill out of, the governments found themselves incorporating legislation's in support of the dear cause...

And the conservatives warned against it, some religions found it unacceptable, some governments opposed it, communities tugged over the issue... But the pressure was too much, and the weak gradually gained power, they now had a voice, they were well equipped and Balance was achieved...

Then there was a problem, no one showed them how to use the power, all they had known was that they had no power like their counterparts and they had to fight for it. No one showed them how to manage their voice, all they had been told was that they were voiceless and they needed a voice for equality to be achieved. No one showed them how to strike a balance, a balance between them and the other gender!

So there emerged a tug of war between the genders, they both had powers in equal amounts. Intolerance became the order of the day. and vengeance grew, and there roles were now exchanged. The powerful were now powerless, the voice had been taken away from them, the men faced the women wrath, FIDA had it counterpart MIDA aka Maendeleo ya Wanaume... !

THE BALANCE

they said they could not move, they saw the future to be too good, they stuck put and leaving was not in the list of their option, conquest was all they felt, and they matched on eager to acquire more power, more hats. more numbers, more posts.....

they that had their homes at the muky tents wept, they that slept in dump blankets wailed... they that had seen their families succum to the unbearable living conditions, they that had seen their families slain, they who had watched their mothers, daughters and wives,  suffer the  degradation of rape, they who had lost their properties and were living in shankies, abject poverty being thier close friend....  yes they wailed, and in the quiteness of their so called homes, and deep within their spirit they prayed.... they prayed and hoped that their prayers would not be ignored and that they would be treated with impartiality.....

and their prayes were heard... justice was prepaired, the rule of nature had taken over, the natural balance of evil vs good had taken over, impartiality had replced partial, and the judge was not a respector of persons....
